ONE Technologies has initiated a pro bono project to revamp the IT infrastructure of the Nirim Organization, a foundation dedicated to supporting at-risk youth by offering opportunities for personal and professional development otherwise unavailable to them. This project, estimated to cost 150,000 shekels, is poised to benefit approximately 170 employees and 110 youth residing in the Nirim Youth Village.
Founded in 2003, Nirim develops and implements educational and therapeutic programs for hundreds of high-risk youths across the nation. Nirim provides vital, often last-chance opportunities that empower young individuals to transform their life stories. As such, the foundation has a notable record of supporting youth at risk to reintegrate successfully into society, contributing positively to themselves, their families, and the country. With an 85% success rate in achieving full high-school matriculation and 95% in enlisting for meaningful IDF service, the Nirim Organization stands as a pivotal platform for change through social justice.

The partnership between ONE Technologies and the Nirim Foundation has been growing steadily for over three years, setting the stage for impactful projects like the current IT infrastructure overhaul. Encompassing hardware, software, and network design improvements, the intended technology upgrade targets modernizing outdated computing systems with advanced solutions by premier brands such as Microsoft. By elevating the foundation to contemporary technological standards, this project aims to boost operational efficiency, crucial for continuing and enhancing the foundation’s impactful work with at-risk youth. Activities include deploying Office 365 Business infrastructure, enhancing the network and internet infrastructure, transitioning services to the cloud, and enabling access to email on mobile devices. A dedicated team from ONE Technologies is responsible for this project, providing continuous support and comprehensive training to ensure its success.
At the project’s launch event at the Nirim Youth Village, Federico Buchalter, a former resident and member of Nirim and now a project team leader at ONE Technologies, shared his personal journey to an applauding audience, marking the experience in Nirim as a significant milestone in his life. “Being part of this technological upgrade at the Nirim Youth Village represents a profound full-circle moment for me. This is a testament that change can be achieved, regardless of one’s background, and that it’s possible to transition from being at your lowest to becoming a high-tech professional with a promising future ahead. The Nirim Youth Village is undoubtedly a haven of opportunity, equipping many like myself with the tools they need for growth and success.”
Idan Friedman, the operations manager of the Nirim Organization, highlighted the importance of responsibility in the foundation’s educational philosophy and praised ONE Technologies for their professional, reliable, and pleasant collaboration. “This project not only provides significant financial and operational support to our growing organization but also ensures the delivery of modern and improved services to the youth.
